Countdown to launch…10…

I never thought this day would come. How does a mom of four have time to write, much less publish and launch a book? I have no idea, but I think God has a little something to do with it.

Nevertheless, here I am … counting down ten days to May 1 when my Bible study, “30 Days with John” will be published and available for order on Amazon.com. The next ten days will be spent with me trying to let everyone know the details of the study and benefits of going through the study. I will be writing blog posts, having Facebook Q&A sessions and maybe a Facebook live or two! I am also planning a giveaway for my readers!

So let’s get down to business.

I started writing “30 Days with John” last year and offered it as a free download on my blog as a few of us worked through the study together. Honestly, it was a rough attempt, but I think my study friends really enjoyed their time and learned quite a bit about Jesus.

Afterwards, I filed it under “something I may publish one day” not thinking one day would be a year later.

“30 Days with John” is a study takes readers through the entire book of John in the Bible. Each day covers no more than one chapter. The daily study guides the reader through the verses and asks questions to help in understanding. The questions also gives an opportunity to reflect on the and apply the scripture to daily life.

Each day is a concise study, not meant for more than 30 minutes, unless you choose to go further. In the busy days of parenting, work, and activity it can be challenging to carve out time for lengthy studies. This is designed for smaller time increments that you can break up as needed throughout your day. It is a perfect study for your lunch break or sitting in car rider line at school. Take it to your child’s soccer practice or dance rehearsal.

If you don’t have your own Bible, there are many Bible apps: She (or He) Reads Truth, You Version Bible App. Some have an audio Bible option for those who have time to listen to the Bible.

Reading the Bible can feel burdensome. Its common to feel obligated to read the Bible and struggle with making time for it. My hope is that this study can help you begin to understand the Bible more and open your eyes to how interesting the Bible can be. As God reveals new truths to you, I hope you will begin to crave opening it and spending time getting to know God through it.

Below is a sample of one of the days of study. Note that the day begins with prayer, asking God to reveal His truth to you through His word. Next, read the entire Bible passage without answering questions so you can see the main concept of what you are studying. Then, revisit the scripture to gain understanding of John’s words and apply it. The day also ends with prayer based on the scripture passage you have read.

I can’t wait to share more about the study this week!

Stay tuned to the blog, Facebook, and Instagram!

Born and raised in Virginia, Leah’s faith journey began in a loving family and a small church in a small town. As writer, blogger, and an aspiring speaker, Leah also enjoys reading, watching movies, and creating memories with her family. Leah is motivated by 2 Corinthians 13:11 where Paul encourages the church in Corinth to “become mature and be encouraged, be of the same mind, be at peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.” She wants believers to grow in their faith and discover a hunger for God’s word. Leah’s genuine and authentic style of presenting the gospel lays a foundation for readers to learn more of God’s Truths. Through the challenges of life, Leah's greatest desire is to let you know you are not alone and there is a God who walks with you through the wilderness.
