If you have never made a commitment to follow Jesus or need to refresh your commitment, below are some scriptures and a prayer to guide you into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8 – But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9 – If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 5:1 – Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:1 – Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:38-39 – For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If you believe that these words from the Bible are true, and would like to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ, pray and talk to God. You can use these words to help you:
Dear God,
I know that I am a sinner and nothing I can do will earn my salvation. I deserve death for my sins. Thank you for sending your Son to die as the ultimate sacrifice and payment for my sin. Come in and be Lord over my life. I place my faith and trust in You. Thank you for your grace and forgiveness. Thank you for the reassurance that nothing I can do can ever separate me from your love. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, tell a friend or family member who is also a believer. Find a church that can help you grow in your faith. I am praying for you, friend!
