Christmas Came Early

My cup of gratitude overflowed on the couch of the psychiatrist’s office.  One smile and one question from the doctor brought forth an onslaught of tears that not only surprised my daughter, but me as well. “Well, how are things going?” Cue tears. Ascending out of the Valley

There was nowhere left to turn.  We had done everything the rheumatologist had told us to do: gentle exercise, physical therapy, seeing a psychologist; yet, pain still riddled my daughter’s body on a daily basis.  She was not the child I knew before fibromyalgia overtook her life.
